TEAM researchers win Mental Health Innovation Award

TEAM ITN & MSCA researchers Darragh McCashin, Claudette Pretorius and Hidde van der Meulen win The Ireland Funds Business Plan Competition - Mental Health Innovation Prize.

The Ireland Funds has partnered with NDRC to help bring business ideas from concept to pitch and  looks to nurture creativity and hone entrepreneurial skills among Irish-based early-stage technology entrepreneurs. Ten business ideas were selected to receive mentoring and support from the NDRC through a series of workshops during May and June, with competitors pitching their ideas to the NDRC Venture Investment Team and Judging Panel on Wednesday 19th June.  

The Mental Health Innovation Prize sponsored by St Patrick's Mental Health Service, is given to new business ideas amongst Ireland’s early-stage technology entrepreneurs that focuses on mental health.  The TEAM researchers pitched Auxilio which was the winning concept;  an app that provides between-session support to clients who are currently attending a therapist for psychological difficulties.
